David Lake Photography

After being a hobby photographer for many years I finally decided to take the plunge at the turn of the last century and first went to print as one of the official Lomo photographers for Manchester’s Commonwealth Games in 2002 in the commemorative book “Spirit”.

Unfortunately, my next major project was to cover the devastating effects of the Asian Tsunami in 2004, making several trips to the Khao Lak area of Thailand for two UK based charities. An exhibition “People of the Tsunami” followed in Manchester that same year.

My next exhibition “Pole to Pole” covered a variety of travel images from around that period and was kindly organised by Claire Turner of Comme Ca Art.

By now work was coming in from a wide variety of clients for commercial, wedding, event and portrait photography  ......... long may it continue!

My aim is still the same ..... to provide a great end product, at a competitive price, with a little fun along the way.
